Worm Gear Box Set Review

I've built several of these Tamiya gearbox models (including the planetary model and the 6-speed gearbox), and this worm gear model was the best one. It was pretty quick to put together - about an hour, although I'm sure it could be done quicker. It's extremely quiet in operation, it runs very smooth, and it draws very little power. A tiny 0.9V, 400mA mini-solar cell was able to power it, no problem. I'm going to use it to power some of my upcoming projects.
I'd recommend it.

This is a High Efficiency Worm Gear Box Assembly Kit from the Technicraft Series by Tamiya. FEATURES Can produce extremely low speeds of rotation and is used for gear reduction.
