Highly detailed 1/35 scale model kit of the World War II U.S. medium tank M26, dubbed the "Pershing" after World War I General John J."Black Jack" Pershing. Originally designed as a heavy tank, the M26 was a significant upgrade from the M4 Sherman in terms of firepower and armor protection. Although reclassified after World War II as a medium tank to meet the changing conceptions of the US Army's tank needs, the M26 never performed with the speed and mobility of a true medium tank like the M4 Sherman. However, with its long barrel 90 mm M3 main gun, the Pershing could fight on equal terms with the heavy German Tiger and Panther tanks in terms of firepower. This model kit features realistically replicated 90 mm M3 gun, distinctive cast turret and ship bottom type lower hull, optional open or closed hatches, 2 detailed figures, and lots of accessories.
