Highly detailed 1/48 scale assembly model kit of the Vought SB2U Vindicator, the first carrier based monoplane dive-bomber of the United States Navy. First developed in the 1930's, the Vought Vindicator was considered outdated by the beginning of the Second World War; however, the Vindicator remained in squadron service until 1943, when the type was replaced by the SBD Dauntless. The Vought SB2U saw its most notable combat action during the "Battle of Midway", when Vindicators along with SBD Dauntless dive-bombers repeatedly attack the Japanese task force under Admiral Yamamoto.
