Jedi Duel is one of those "must-have" Star Wars Lego sets. Easy to put together and great fun to play with, any SW fan would love to have this in their collection.
The set includes two minifigs: Count Dooku and YODA! Yoda comes with his green lightsaber and very short legs that cannot move. Dooku comes with his red lightsaber (with its special curved handle as seen in Attack of the Clones)and his speeder bike (more on that later). Both of the minifigs were highly detailed and I think Lego did an excellent job designing them.
Dooku's speeder bike is extremely cool. It is light-blue, with a holder for Dooku's lightsaber, and neat fins on the rear. Jedi Duel also comes with a crane, which is one of the objects Dooku tried to crush Anakin and Obi-Wan with.
Overall, this set is worth the dough and makes a nice addition to any SW collection.

15 year old son review: I bought this set when it first came out in stores. I was pretty happy with the price and last month, i decided that i would attempt to purchase another. BIG mistake. Since they aren't sold in-store anymore, I looked at the ones on amazon. i was shocked that anyone could charge over 0 for a set that is smaller then a venator cruiser. bottom line: do NOT buy this off amazon. you can get two off the lego store if you preorder. if you have to have this set, try ebay or craigslist. i guarantee you can save over by doing this.

Included Lego figures represent the well-known characters Obi-Wan Kenobi, Plo Koon, Asajj Ventress, and Commander Cody. Of course, there's Clone Trooper mini-figures as well. There's a cool speeder bike that deploys from the back, and multiple decals to create different gunships for your army. Arm your favorite figure with a lightsaber in Jedi blue-green or Sith red, and let the intragalactic battles begin. There's even a healing chamber that helps your characters recharge after a tough battle.
Preparing Your Gunship for Battle
With 1,034 pieces in 18 bags and two instruction booklets, the Republic Attack Gunship took our eight-year-old tester just under eight hours to build. He broke the construction up into three shorter sessions to make it more enjoyable and had only one slight difficulty. While Lego instructions are known for being colorful and accurate, there were a handful of pieces in our booklet that appeared clear when they were in fact yellow. This didn't do anything to diminish our appreciation for this model. Our tester struggled to find anything negative to say, and he gave this ship a fun factor score of one million, based on a scale of one to 10!
Cockpits in unexpected locations on the wings, unique sliding doors, the zoomer buggy, and an emergency capsule for sick and injured characters ranked high on the list of cool features. That's not all though. There's also a front side compartment that opens so you can remove the command station, eight positionable flick-fire missiles on top, two rotating missiles in front, and a top compartment which opens to provide access to the spy droids.
When asked if there was a downside to this gunship, our tester could only reply, "It's the best ever! I just like the whole set." Soon after completing construction, he had a big battle with all the ships in his collection and commented on how this set includes updated pieces that he's never seen before.
Even though there's plenty of features on just the Republic Attack Gunship to hold a child's interest for a long time, we can imagine how much fun the set would be with a whole group of friends and siblings plus all their Star Wars ships. We also appreciate the way that Lego systems never limit imaginative play. All the cool hardware that makes up the Republic Attack Gunship can be used to build any structure or vehicle your child dreams up.
What's in the Box

Although I prefer Heero's original wing zero, this kit still brings a heavy feeling of nostalgia. I really like this kit, not just because I grew up with it. It was missing a few colors, but that was okay because it wasn't too many and it wasn't too hard. painting it took around fifteen minutes. The beam sabers were completely white, which is okay because I didn't expect it to come with beam sabers in the first place. Lining the wings was strangely fun and relaxing and the result is extremely pleasing. Unfortunately, the build was unspectacular. It's all about the finished product for this one. It comes with all the weapons it had in the OVA, but the beams do not come off the beam sabers. The twin buster rifle can seperate and be put together and it can hold both well in one hand at first but over time it will slowly come down, so I try not to pose it holding both the buster rifles in one hand. It comes with a seperate torso to point the arms inward so it could hold the two buster rifles put together, but since it is not compatible with any stand it cannot be posed like it was in the OVA. If you try posing the it with the torso like that with the two buster rifles it will look ridiculous. It will look like it is trying to shoot the ground and blow itself sky high. The feet aren't exactly posable either. But being a kit that is as old as me, that's okay. But if you like the anime (I know I did) or if you want to pose it so it looks like it is about to destroy the strike freedom gundam (like I do) it is worth it.
I purchased several Globonz sets for kids ages 8-14 to play with in groups during a summer class during which we explored real and mythical animals. Turning the Globonz sets into a game made it more fun for everyone.
I simply made up some spinners (purchased blank at an education supply store) with categories as follows: Add a bone from your pile; Add a bone from someone else's pile; Remove a bone from the creature; Draw a bone from the fossil bin; Skip this turn. Then I had each player draw 3 bones from the "fossil bin" just as one might draw 3 cards from a deck. The players took turns, spinning and adding/subtacting bones (or drawing from the fossil bin if they couldn't move) until they had completed a symmetrical creature. Then they had to make up a name for the creature & describe its habitat, what it ate, and any special skills it had.
As a group activity, this was really fun. And the best part was turning off the lights and making the bonz glow. However, as an individual activity (or even a group activity without the spinners), I think kids would get bored of it more quickly.
In short, purchase the globonz, and then find a way to make a game out of it!
It is great that you can buy these train track pieces in smaller sets like this, but buyer beware...they are 1/4th of this price if you order directly from Lego (shipping much cheaper also). But as for the actual product, they work with all of the Lego Duplo cars that I have, not just the Thomas train sets...which can help you build a nice little chugga chugga choo choo set for your little one to play with for a lot less than the Thomas sets.
My 2 1/2-year old son loves this puzzle. It has 9 blocks with 6 different puzzles, and he really sits down and thinks about what he's trying to accomplish instead of trying to cram puzzle pieces together. It's made out of sturdy cardboard, which is a bonus for younger kids. His older sister has some block puzzles made out of wood, and she was known to throw pieces if she got frustrated. This one is much less likely to knock somebody unconscious.
This is a faithful version of the X-wing for your lego mini-figs. The wings do open/close and there is 2 "secret" compartments for storage, along with a seat ready for R2. The only real non-durable part of the model is the wing cannons and rear engines.
Along with orange flight suit Luke and R2,this set also comes with a pit crew and extra pilot with "transport" cart full of tools... so whether you are taking Luke to Dagobah or Hoth Echo base, you got everything here. This model is reasonably priced usually and I highly reccomend getting this, especially before you get any other Star Wars Lego ships.
First time for me to assemble such a toy. So far made first squad only. But I'm planning to spend a week to work on my army of Necrons.
And it's kinda meditating kind of time spending.
Overall I like it and happy with my money spent.
Wow! This kit was a bit of a challenge and certainly should not be marketed towards the under 13 crowd given the issues rampant throughout its instruction and molding.
Having said that, after a day of ruminating over the kit and a dry-run assembly for parts fit and familiarity,
I noted all the apparent problems and knew others might crop up. So, I bought a tube of super-glue gel, borrowed a hair dryer, filled a large plastic bowl with ice water and kept a magnifying glass handy.
Stem connectors on some ill-fitting pieces needed to be shaved with a hobby knife to improve fit. After test-fitting and figuring out what was warped ( mostly rib sections ), the parts that were not in correct form were heated with the hair dryer until softened- were then dunked in the ice water while I held the part in its approximate correct configuration until it again hardened.
A magnifying glass, patience and a thoughtful approach ( okay- and a few beers ) saw me through this project.
It's sad to hear the reviews involving the disappointment of the kids these items are marketed towards. I think the manufacturer ( B.C. Bones ) has produced some quality stuff in the past and should reconsider the packaging touting the age recommendation as well as providing clearer, more comprehensive directions. Not everyone wants to wake up to a five star challenge Christmas morning, especially where children are involved.

I'm an AFOL (Adult Fan of Lego), so I didn't think the action figure would be the greatest thing ever. I got the Costco set of three Jayko, Santis, and Valdek for Christmas. I was surprised that the arm and leg pieces have plenty of studs on them for "real" Lego pieces to connect to. The joints are very nice, though, and provide many degrees of freedom and good strong clicking into position. These pieces can be put together several different ways. I built three knights by using more or fewer jointed segments in arms and legs, a tall knight, a medium knight, and a short knight. My one year old son likes playing with the short knight, called King Ian the Bold!
As action figures go, however, the helmets don't stay on very well, and neither do the heads. Some of the odd shaped armor falls off if you pick it up by grabbing these natural 'handles'. The shields fall off at the slightest blow from another figure's sword blow (a lever in the back makes one arm swing up and down).
All the knights are the exact same design. They each have different colors on their arm and leg ends, with a different face and helmet design. There are pieces that snap on as "armor". One uses standard lego roof pieces for most of this, the rest use somewhat more custom looking pieces that I cannot imagine much reuse in other models. Although some of these odd armor pieces just showed up in my latest Lego Cargo Train set as hoods, bumpers, wheel wells, etc for the trucks.
I see many applications for the joint pieces in my Mindstorm based robots. There, I'm always having trouble geting the mechanicals right for sturdy arbitrary angles, which is exactly what these joints do best.

My 2 year old absolutely loves this toy. He loves to build the different configurations and now that he can build them all he makes up his own. He can spend an hour just sitting and puttng the track together and pusing the train around on it. Worth every penny.

"This is a great set. The color scheme is awesome and the water swords are really cool. I started collecting Bionicles when they first came out in 2001 and this is one of the best all around sets ever. Tarix armor is really neat and even though some people say that his chest piece makes him look skinny, I disagree. I don't know if it's just me but I like it that on this bionicle the body isn't too bulky. Well here are my Pros and Cons.

Switch modes to demolish the Republic!
Switching between walker, bomber and attack modes, the Hyena Droid is a powerful multi-purpose weapon for the Separatists as seen in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Features four dropping bombs and three all-new rocket battle droid minifigures.
I bought this set because it was cheap (at the time it only cost .49) and I wanted the cool figure and weapons for Lego collection. This set comes with one very cool Knight figure that has a very detailed printed head and torso. He is equipped with a helmet and a spear. The only thing that I don't like about the Knight is he looks like he is frowning; other then that he is a good figure to have. This set also comes with a rack for the Knight's gear and weapons. The rack has a different helmet, a breastplate, a sword, and a printed shield. Here are the basics of the set:

Our grandsons love "creating" with Duplo...and they also love "creating" with Bob the Builder. The combination of Bob the Builder Duplo provides them endless possibilities and keeps them busy "creating" for hours!
This is a quality toy Batmobile. I received it quickly after my order was placed. I was surprised about the size. I thought I was buying one that the action figure could fit into--the price should have given me a clue. It would make a nice display item in a collection; good detail and nice paint job.
